Ungoverned AI doesn't scale. It gets stopped.
Every stalled pilot has the same autopsy: the demo worked, and then legal, security or the board asked the questions nobody had answers to. Who is accountable when the agent is wrong? What data does it touch? Can we prove human oversight? What happens when a regulator asks?
Companies that skip this stage don't move faster — they move twice. Once to build, and once to rebuild when compliance catches up. With the EU AI Act's main deadline for high-risk systems now in force territory, "we'll sort governance later" is no longer a strategy.
